Stirring Committee Meets–January 21, 2010
Lavonne Wood called the meeting to order with nine members present @ 12:00 noon on January 21, 2010.
Committee Reports
1) Education- we should advertise in paper, crawl, posters and get copies to the food pantry people.
2) Food pantry-the refrigerator is in and Rod Domke has a used freezer they can use until the new one comes.
Karla could not make the meeting today because of the weather.
3) Resource- Richard said they have not had meetings lately, but the transit is busy and the drivers are now being paid. Garden Club has $500.00 to buy seeds for the new season. They are also still gathering information for the chamber. there are a few changes on the resource guide and then they will be ready to print. Elsie said she really uses hers at school. It was mentioned maybe a Welcome Wagon would be nice or have the information in a central location.
Treasurers report was given by Julie. $2562.98 left to spend by March 31 and $350.00 left to spend for gas cards. and or child care and the $1500.00 has been put into the Knights of Columbus account.
Julie explained the 501(3) (C) and Articles of Incorporation.
New Business–Booth at the Farm and Home show. Rod made a motion to pay the $25.00 for booth rent. and Richard seconded it. Cheryl and Kathy will work together on getting it organized. Julie will see if Kelly has any props we can use for backdrops.
Rod made a motion to adjourn and Richard seconded it.
